What is the Guardian Program and How does it Work?

Our guardian program is designed to give all of our wonderful  breeding dogs a home and a family they deserve.  We love our dogs dearly and want them to have a family that loves them as much as we do!  We do not kennel our breeding dogs and we can't have all of them in our home so we carefully select families that can provide guardian homes for our dogs.  What this means is that if you did decide to take part in the guardian program, Sundance Labradoodles would place a dog in your home at 8 weeks of age, with you being their forever family.  We do require a deposit to place the dog but it is a fraction of the cost of a pet puppy.

.  The dog then is raised, trained and cared for by you, just like a normal pet would be.  Sundance Labradoodles would  be responsible for any reproduction and breeding related costs  but the forever family would be responsible for  the general routine veterinary care and wellness, annual vaccines, grooming expenses, training expenses and of coarse lots of love and socialization!

The breeding rights of this dog are owned by Sundance Labradoodles.  Sundance Labradoodles will need to have access to the dog at certain times during the year for about 3 - 4  years.  (7-8  for a male)  We would need the dog a couple of times a year for testing and when they are bred .  The dog then would quickly come back to your home.  If they are ready to whelp a litter they would come to our home a week before their due date and stay until the pups are weened.  Then they are back to their life and the families they love!

At the end of their breeding career (determined by breeder and vet together (and usually 3 - 4 litters) they are  spayed or neutered at our expense and the adoption process is complete at this time!  They remain with you as their forever family!    We can discuss more in detail once you have been selected to be a guardian!  We look forward to working with you and are glad you are interested in our beloved labradoodles!  Please contact us at sundancelabradoodles@gmail.com if you are local to the Phoenix metro area and are interested in the Guardian program.
